By Jason Robb, February 2011, following the successful Hunger Strike.

Thank you all who lent your voices to our struggle to be treated like other Ohio Death Row prisoners.
As you can see from the photo myself and dear friends Bilge and Denis were able to hold hands, break bread, and hold civilized conversation at a decent decimal range, HA HA! Usually we must raise our voices to be heard in these booths but after 18 years my first real human contact was very much loved
and appreciated and also a little weird. Being without human contact for so long it was at times surreal.
I look forward to the day that I’ll be able to sit at a real table and eat home cooked food with family and
friends. With your continued support in the coming battle before us, I believe it to be a reality and not
wishful thinking. It will not be easy but nothing in this life is easy it seems. Once more thank you all so
much for this outreach and continued support. It means more than words can really convey. Take care,
be strong, and always look forward never back.
